Silicone TB Connector

Kinda silly, but where did everyone get their connector for the throttlebody? I'm thinking a piece of 4" id silicone hose should work, but I wanted to make sure before I spent the $$$ for some. The one on the car now is kinda old and nasty looking.

Re: Silicone TB Connector

A 4" silicon connector will do the trick. I use the Turbonetics connectors, they are a bit pricey, but good quality.

Re: Silicone TB Connector

I used an HTS 4" to 3" silicone coupler as a temporary fix. I'm going to make a 4" metal transition piece down the road so I can use a straight 4" coupler.

Re: Silicone TB Connector

I bought mine right from Vortech. I don't recall the exact price, but I don't remember it costing to much.

Re: Silicone TB Connector

My transition cost about $20 from HTS, but I'm also a dealer. Normally, they go about $25.

If you want, take something like this...

...and bend the 4" end to match the throttle body. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

I hate to be the El-Cheapo of the bunch, but I used a 4"-3" sewer pipe connector from Home Depot. It ran me about $6 if I remember right. It's half inch thick black rubber that fits nicely.

I used the same thing to make a smooth air bellow for his ram air. All you have to is boil it in water and it will fit perfectly.
