Superchaged LT1 in a 1st Gen?

I'm running a 95 LT1 out of what was a supercharged 95', so I have the plumbed pan, correct cam, compression ratio ect ect. I'm toying with the idea of putting a vortech back on, has anybody seen this done, or knows where I can figure out what brackets ect I need to get it to fit into my 69?

Thanks
-B

i cannot help yet but i am also in the process of installing my setup in a different platform (70 nova). i have done a little research and it looks like a standard small block chevy bracket might work. at least thats what the procharger tech said. the water pump is the only thing that may cause a problem otherwise it should work. the problem with that though is spending the money to try it out.

I spoke to a company a few years ago, who sold kits to put vortech charges on non-lt1 sbc's like something with a fabbed intake, I just can't remember who it was, they were going to sell me everything except the piping (which would need to get fabbed to the intake) for around 3-3.5 .

WOW, I was just going to ask about this.

Current plans are my 327 with a 142 weiand blower and a b&m superjection fuel injection for my 67'. I really like the sound of an lt1 ... but I want a roots blower sound too.

I have a full le2 383 setup w/ a 125 shot for my 96z, but I am going to sell the z and have all the parts already. Nitrous sounds like a pain in the *** getting refilled all the time. I just like the reliability of a newer lt1 vs my old 327.

What would you guys do? Front mount superchargers are out of the question. I already have a turbo truck, and those remind me too much of turbos. ---

^^^ there is a dude on here somewhere with a roots blower on his LT1 camaro. im sure if you do a search you might find it. i would search for you but im just too lazy. a roots on a LT1 in a 1st gen should be easy b/c you will have more room to plumb in your plenum.

Thanks bro, the problem with the roots on the lt1 I have seen ... is tuning and heat? I will keep reading up on it though.

Looks like I will just have to find a comparable sounding package for the 327 as the le2. The way it idles is what I am after

EDIT, your car is SICK ---

I don't really understand why anybody would want to go roots on an LT1.. You might as well build a regular SBC it would ALOT cheaper.. my old setup was a 383 w/871 and it was a beast of a motor, car coasted to a 10.5 letting off halfway after nukin my trans.. For the lt1 I'd much prefer to centrifugal blower.. They are MUCH more efficient, and at least for me the whole idea of going with an lt1 in a 1st gen was to have this "modern" style motor in an older body style.. putting a roots on it would just ruin that entire image.
