I just want to learn where can I get more power that easy.
Me 2 I just spent in the neighborhood of USD15k on my beast just to get it from 437rwhp to around 550rwhp @ 6,000 rpm, but then again, my recipe was a cook book type obtained from this board. Runs great, and is streetable to a fault, but if their is a better cheaper way ... we want the details

AFR 190cc heads 9:1 compression ratio
383 stroker
224/236 ex cam
S-trim making 8 - 9psi of intercooled boost.
Smooth as a babies bum, but my tires must be defective because they keep smoking ...

Have a good one.

I highly doubt a 230/244 cam will peak in the 6200 area in a 350... Dont know.. but it has always been my impression that that cam peaked in the 6500 area or so... and you should shift around 6800 on a 350.. heck.. my cam peaks at 6200 and I have a 383...

car runs around 123-125 at the track

depending if it goes into gear

was doing about 110-111 on the motor, no tuneing

the dyno #s were 3.33 and a 6.666
now its a 3.125 and a 6.666

i dont follow anything that is said on this board, most of the people you read about didnt work on his/her car
and they just quote what other people have done.

fyi i got owned by a supra last night had him froma 60-120 but as soon as i hit 120 he pulled me good

Dont get me all wrong... but it took me a 2.85 pulley and decent heads and sort of this and that tunning to get the 501s I had... I know here is a bit more humid etc.. but still.. I believe that either you have something else or you have some REAL KILLER heads to be pumping 500rwhp with just 6psi NON intercooled...

but... the REAL KILLER heads is not likely if all you did was 330rwhp...

im tunning a camaro here with sort of heads cam and an S-trim... 2.85 pulley and we are still trying to get it to run correctly.. 50# injectors and all... It takes a bit to make a car go fast.

Take it for what it's worth, but I've used the CC306 in my daily driver since early 2000. Looking through several dyno graphs, peak power w/ cc306 and ported heads comes in at 6250-6300. One of our club members dynoed with the CC306, stock unported heads/stock bottom end, and shorty headers, and his peak came in before 6000 rpm (like 58xx rpm or so if I remember right ... he put down 357rwhp).

Hard to make a hard, fast rule for cams as to the point they will peak. My stock motor with a Hot Cam and the twin turbos made peak HP at 6200, and that is a smaller cam than the CC306. With decent heads it would have went higher, I am sure.

I guess I should have posted this earlier but my brother in laws 96 SS with long tubes hot cam ARE lt4 stage 2 heads lt4 intake 58 mm throtle body hot cam 255 in tank stock injectors on stock bottom made 380 naturaly aspirated. We bolted on a vortec s trim and 50 pound injectors with 6 psi made 477 rwhp.
This was on ARE dyno and I'm sure its still on file.

His #s look legit to me..475rwhp...123-125mph trap speed.

I dont want to start anything but some of you guys beating around the bush wanting to call bs on his #s maybe you should go back and look at whats wrong with yours. If I based my #s on what I find on this forum id still be in the 420hp range also. There are A LOT of poorly setup/tuned cars around here.

I wouldn't go so far as to say poorly setup/tuned... the real problem is "racing" dynos.

There are too many variables to try and compare dyno numbers back and forth. T6 to A4, or a A3 with a 4000 stall, different rear gears, tires, air temps, even different dyno's.

I would bet that I could take someone elses motor and put it in my car with my loose stall and big, sticky tires, and loose 50+ HP over their best. Although I would probably make more torque, due to the stall.

a good set of heads and a nice cam will and has many many times made 400rwhp+ on a stock bottom end LT1...go check around in the LT1 section for "Lloyd" and "Advanced Induction". Heck, some of them are pulling 420+ RWHP out of them...
