well besides a valve breaking and takeing my whole motor with it had about 700 miles on them when the valve broke
took my nice 4bolt my cam took a nice chip out of the heads
took everything but the intake

ill say crappy 2 pieace valves,

the exhaust ports need more work but other then that, they seem to love the boost

Maybe I'm remembing things wrong, but wasn't the reason you bought the heads from Geo was because you broke a valve/messed up the motor? Did you break another one?

BTW, very nice numbers - glad it came together well.

no i bought the heads because i blew a head gasket and said why not, ill buy his.

his heads broke and took my motor
the machine shops said it was because of the cheap 2 pieace valves. he said they had stainless steel valves in them and they didnt. I still have half of the valve that broke.

but i have no bad faith towards him everything turned out for the better. just cost me an extra $1k

Man, that's weird... I know Geo had his machine shop put new valves in them (they were supposed to be nice SS undercut valves).

You have a stock bottom end? Forget about 500 rwhp until you build it up. I made the numbers in my sig with a 2-bolt, stock crank, h-beam rods, trw pistons. Also, lower compression pistons are a must with a supercharger.

I pulled the procharger off, I am going to try the vortech v2/w the aftercooler. Basically looking for the same power or greater, but with very little noise. If I ever get board of that combo, going to bolt on a YS trim. I may end up using the ati twins again with the YS, who knows.

It won't last for long at that power level, that's why. If you detonate one time, it'll all be over really quick.

Damn you are making same power i did (501rwhp) with afr 190 heads no intercooler 224/236 XE 114 cam and a few tunning problems but at 8psi and a 383 on the bottom......

I say congrats.. what are your IATs? you are making some serious power for a non intercooled 350 with very mildly ported heads.. is this on pump gas???

You are gaining 200rwhp gain with only 6psi!! that is lsx 7L territory

i know one when i build my 355 i can get 600+ easy on pump gas

I just need some bigger injectors, my 38# are maxing out at 42 psi

I should have made around 360 on motor alone more or less...

It took me a 6.66 crank and 2.85" pulley to achieve the 501rwhp... and 555rwhp with the aftercooler. You have a very efficient engine....
