crankcase vacuum pump necessary?

has anyone found the need to ditch their PCV system and install a crankcase pump? I was advised to do this with my turbo setup the other day and I'm not certain I need to.

Its an option if you getting alot of crankcase pressure, but not really needed. Most guys are just using dual valve cover breathers and they seem to be doing the job.
