I just bought one of those. Have used one in the past with good results too. Take it apart and make sure there are no rough spots... the casting on them is horrible, but other than that its a valve that opens and closes. They work just fine.

On the temp sensor I used a 90* brass fitting from ACE so the temp sensor turns down. Lots more room and shouldn't hurt the readings.

Your design looks better than my first set of logs, but be prepared to cook some plug wires. Use heat shields and good wires if you can. My new setup has the log up closer to the valve cover and the primaries turn 90s up out of the head. It makes the primaries a little longer too which always helps.

I love the mp70. I am running 10psi, almost no tuning done and was pulling on a heads/cam/90/90 c5 this weekend. I am hoping to find another 150 or so HP with tuning and another 5-7psi.

Looks good. Keep us updated.

evil,

I made 3" 3 bolt flanges for $6 a piece. I made an autocad design of the flange and they cut to that. Worked great.

jsetzer,

How does the LT1 take to MS? I have been thinking about running a Megasquirt in my car for a few months now. (any info, or trouble spots would be nice to know.)

I'll eventually get around to a full MS writeup.

Basically when you switch both fuel and spark to MS you give up being an lt1, or even a chevy motor. Running a crank trigger gives you batch to batch fuel and you simply order your plug wires in the order the motor fires. There are fancier routes... but this is the most common.

I love it. Its incredibly easy to tune, and not that hard to setup. You can build one yourself for what a replacement opti or low imp injector driver would cost - My entire setup including my ignition system and wideband is cheaper than you could build a ltcc or other coil pack system for an lt1, and cheaper than any other stand alone pcm alone.

I have MS experience (turbo KLZE probe) and I think this will be my next project after the turbo and bottom end as I'm sure I'll be close to the end of the stock ECU management. Trying to get a feel for what is needed.

so it appears that everybody that has one is happy with the mpt70 so thats good, i'll go ahead and finish my hot parts when my motor mount for the parts car get here. it'll probably be around the same time as the wastegate id say. i'll buiild the rest of the hot parts in the parts car to assure a good fit. as far as the waste gate i'll go ahead and take it apart and check everything and polish it as necesary. i'm glad to get all of the positive info from you guys
