That is some pretty advanced engineering right there! I'm currently using 4x4 wood blocks to keep mine off the ground and I knew I was missing something....the paint cans!

soon i'll have some dyno vids from tuning...

But first, I need to retorque the head bolts (kinda wish I went with MLS over copper just for the sake of torque and forget it head gaskets). I used some cheap copper header gaskets and that divided turbo gasket (trimmed) for initial fire-up and heat cycle... I need to replace those and throw in the new carbon header gaskets that are supposed to be the next best thing to sliced bread.

It's all downhill from here.

I had nothing but problems with copper header gaskets with LT's when I was N/A.

Im sure mine (turbo "kit") is good for 1000+... some what restricted with the T4... but not much. I have headers, 3" collectors, 2.5"crossover, 3" dp (going to 3.5 when i get a k-member).... so whatever you need... the turbo limits it to about 800 RWHP now....

If you want to make a kit i recommend logs because they are good for over 1000 done right... and its a lot cheaper and easier. Not a lot of reason to go the route i did.... I just felt like spoiling myself with the best i could get (at least IMHO.... the PTK setup woulda been nice... but i didn't have wait times... i watched mine get built =)

That's funny since copper header gaskets are the only thing I can get to hold up on mine. Fel-Pro lasted 2 months, Aluminum lasted 2 miles, and Copper is on 2 years and counting. Plus, they are re-usable.

Are you locking the header bolts (stage 8 clips)? I didnt lock them and they would loosen up almost every week.

well i figure it would be real easy to have a 3.5" downpipe run in that area if you
have a tubular k-member and oval the tubing... easy....

Both you guys have looked at mine... but here it is anyways...

What are the Dimensions of you radiator, I'm putting to gather a similar set up and would like to buy a radiator?

who made the headers that you are using for your setup?
any pics of the passenger side?

not a/c compatible im guessing?
either way it looks good.

your not that far away.. lol.. im up in wyoming.. .wanna come take a look? lol...
No a/c... but i have a pretty good idea for a log setup that oculd keep a/c...
actully... its like engineermikes setup... trapped something like 143?

headers are ss autochrome headers (modified a bit)... Pass side header is unmodified besides the stock collector flange is cut off and a v'band welded on... They are stainless and cost me $197 shipped

i have an entire thread on the build...

yeah, mike's setup uses a shorty header for the passenger side. my setup uses a custom log for the passenger side. A/C can be kept pretty easy with a single turbo setup.

Holy cow Mike! That's scarey fast. That kit that Realquick made looks very familiar... I think it's the one that the FedEx guy keeps trying to drop off on my front door. I had that same cam (224/236). I had been thinking that cam would have too much duration for a turbo but it looks like you're happy with it

I've actually been thinking alot lately about trying something that's about 230/236-114, +4.
