setup guidance needed

Have done lots of reading here and would like hear your thoughts about what should be done with the engine (and I'd like to do it once..) which I plan to take apart and go with P1SC with twin highflow intercoolers. Engine has 85k miles and has following mods:

LT4 heads and intake
GMPP Hot Cam kit
BBK 58 mm TB
K&N Cold Air Intake
LT4 heavy duty timing set
Fastchips programming
LT4 knock module
1LE air intake bellow
!EGR, !AIR, !TB

It currenlty has 380 flywheel hp and I plan to run 10psi, car is daily driver and occasionally used for roadrace.

No coffee yet?

Don't know how silly you want to get with the car, but do the standard hot rod things. Port the heads, add low compression forged pistons, good rod bolts, and a main stud kit. 500-550 rwhp shouldn't be much of a problem.

The pistons are the key to a reliable pump gas blower car. Choose pistons to get the compression down as far as practical - for off the shelf pisons the -31cc reverse dome JE is an excellent choice. And of course, it needs to be a tough piston that can withstand some detonation, for which the JE also fits the bill.

Not sure exactly what you want to know otherwise.

"As far as practical" - can you express it in figures? Otherwise - what about fuel system - injectors, fuel pump - any recommendations?

Well all I need is reliable street/occasional rodrace car and have moderate budget. I have read quite some posts here and would like to find a middle path inbetween - will not do it with stock engine but dont want to overdo it. I'll need to rebore the block - what size is recommended? Guess as little as possible?

What about cam? Is hotcam good enough or shall I look for another one?

Re: setup guidance needed

Well, with OEM castings the best off the shelf piston is the -31cc "D" dish JE. Wherever that ends up is going to be the lowest "practical" CR. IOW, not buying AFR heads for the larger chambers, getting cusom pistons, etc.

Re: setup guidance needed

Okay, clear about pistons. Any suggestions on following:

- hotcam I have - good enough or shall I look for another one;
- fuel pump: what capacity?
- injectors: what capacity?
- reboring the block - what size is considered 'safe' - will run abt 10psi
- anything else (apart from good rod bolts and main stud kit)

thanks.
