stock for stock, and LS1 can run a 3 bar speed density setup. Thats really the only advantage IMO.

Well, no opti is also a plus, along with the 8 coils. You also have either HP tuners or EFI live to works with. You can run low Z injectors with a convertor box. You can log use a WB o2 with HP tuners pro. Ill let you guys know how well it handles a 3 bar tune with my YSi putting out 24# boost. I should have it running in about a month, should be around 900 rwhp.

ive never had opti problems like most...broken a few rotors thats it...

you can run a driver box and lw injectors with a lt1 id assume the same as a ls1...

3 bar seems to be the big advantage...and not worth it imo...

tell me, for the price and hassle to convert to a LS1 PCM, whats the advantage of it over a megasquirt setup? (unless your running a 4l60e)

Well, it seems like you have it all figured out, so what were you looking for when you created this thread? What is it that you want out of your car? Plans? Obviously not a 1320 car. Please inform us. What do you want to get out of this thread?

No hassle really. IT has actually made my life very easy. My LT1 setup is going in a 99T/A, so everything is plug and play. It has been a very easy installation. The LS1 ecm will do everything I need, including the tune for 24# and the 82# low z injectors. The 3 bar tuning capabilites is what sold me, as well as no opti. I have had 3 fail, including one MSD.

I maxed out the capacity of the LT1 pcm. Don't get me wrong, it would run the car. The tuning capabilities just suck, lack of tables and ranges. As the load changed or RPM changed, the air fuel ratio was all over the place. It actually only ran god at WOT, and not worth a damn anywhere else. I was only running a 1 bar tune though. The Megasquirt could have helped my some of my problems, but not all of them.

So the LS1 ecm is powering supercharged, turbo'd, and N2O cars into the low 8 range at 160+ on quite a few cars, none with piggy back systems except a Low Z convertor for the injectors.
