Perhaps their are not a ton of start to finish build threads here, but all the info you seek is here, just need to read a ton.

Define big power... To the Saleen Focus I ran into the other day, 650hp probably seemed pretty big - to the real players, they would laugh at me.

Tell us your goals, tell us what you have - (good clutch? if you are talking big numbers then there is no such thing)

Stock computer has been used to some pretty high levels. I went with Megasquirt because I built my pcm for less than a cable and tuning software would cost.

your going to need bigger than 60s to get anywhere near the power levels your talking about. 60s max out about 650 at the wheels.

I am doing a nice build, going for 850 at the wheels. Also keep in mind, to keep up with those viper/vette guys, you dont necessarily need BIG power, you need to get that power to the ground. year or so ago, 1982z28with18s had a nano nitrous firebird, he was keeping up with procharged vipers fairly easily. That was only about 600 at the wheels, but his car could hook amazingly.

To get 1000 RWHP, your going to need at least a 88mm. If you look on here, i posted a PT88 900HP thread. The guy has a LTx vette pushing like 980 HP at the wheels.

Instead of going for RWHP goals, tell us your E.T. goals. I know 800HP supras only running 11's, like I said, its all about putting the power to the ground. 1000 is worthless if u cant sucessfully put 650 to the ground.

Listen to him. If it don't hook it don't matter what numbers you put down.

i know this...i have a nitrous ls1 that makes over 700 through an 60-e...i want this car to trap near 160...i dont care if it et's 8's like it should or not...low 10's is fine by me...ill save my drivetrain...i wanna do 215 in the standing mile preferrably...INTIMD8 or whatever did 199 with 890 hp...

and 60's will make about 600 at the wheels...thats why i need 2 of them...

i wont worry about putting it down...with 3.27 or so second gear will start around 50-55 and be low enough in the rpm band it should hook...ill have plenty of suspension...ill be in the same ballpark as those guys either way...and there always eboost with boost by gear to control it some...id do a pt88 but gear chaging would require respooling that kills time...twin 60's should have less respoling time

yeaa all in the drivetrain. My car will be 650WHP on low boost untill i buy heads.

Just a single T6 74mm.

My car with 420RWHP would walk all over vipers/vetts that are stock. Its all in how you manage it.

https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...ight=pt88+dyno
theres the pt88 dyno thread

http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2117
theres a more detailed thread on what he has done, this is when he had a 78mm turbo. He talks about the no-lift-to-shift box

Id just go with a LS1 pcm swap if it were you. It is better then a bs3.

Tell me what you cant do with the LS1 pcm that you can do with BS3. Just a better option.
