Not sure if this is the right forum but since it's about a s/c i figured i would post it here.

My friend got a S/C on his 91 Z28 L98 TPI..?

Pretty much all stock but for flowmasters pullies and MAYBE LT4 rr's. Nothing done to the internals at all.

My question is what will he be running (1/4) and how bad will he beat me by?
Before this mod i had about 1 1/2 to 2 cars on him.

Also how much horsepower will he be pushing? I got dynoed at 262hp/292tq and that was when i beat him by a car and a half to 2 cars.

What is the most boost he can run on that motor unless he has to beef up the internals.

and BTW all i know is its a vortec s/c

Closest thing I can compare is a local guy here running 10 PSI from an Intercooled D-1 procharger setup on his TOTALLY stock L98 1988 IROC-Z. Built 700R4 trans, BFG drag radials, stock gearing I think and a 2800 stall converter and a cat back exhaust(borla I think)...He ran 13.00 @ 105mph roughly with a mid 1.9 60 foot if I remember right. Easy 12 second potential once he goes to a worthy track. That's also a FULL weight fully optioned car and NO TUNING. He's working with a DFI setup now to find more power. Goodluck!

Your buddies Vortech blower is probably putting out 6-8 PSI of non-intercooled Boost, I'd assume it gives him a realistic 75-100hp boost. He can probably hang with a basic LS1 car and that's assuming it can get traction because He now has a torque monster on his hands if it's running good. Possibly 300-330hp at the wheels and close to 400lb-ft of torque. if he has crappy tires, the better off you are.

so pretty much depends on how good of a driver he is, which more then likely doesn't matter since its a a4.

He also got head and intake work done and thats all i know so far. So how much do you think that will add?

So basically im looking at close to a close 13 second car?

If i did cam, rr's, and headers would i be able to beat him?

was thinking about going with hotcam but probolly go with something a little bigger.
