S/C Help!

I need 600HP out of my LT1 trans am. I have about 300rwhp as of now and need a forced induction that will give me 600hp. How many pounds of boost do i need to achieve this and where can i find a supercharger that will give me the required amount of boost.

Please help.

I've got a Vortech T-trim that would help you achieve your goal.

Re: S/C Help!

The T-trim can definately achieve 600 RWHP but the amount of boost needed is going to depend on a lot of other things like CID and heads. Without good heads you'll probably need somewhere around 18 PSI. With some good heads you can achieve the same power levels at around 14 PSI.

Re: S/C Help!

The T-trim kits are generally around 4000.00 new. People are selling superchargers pretty regular here on the board. Don't overlook the fact that you can't just put a blower on the car and crank it up to 16 PSI. The engine will have to be built for boost with forged internals and a lower compression ratio. Plan on spending some money, I bought a T-trim from a friend of mine here for 2000.00 with the intention of only running about 6 PSI. I never even put the blower on yet because I decided to build an engine that would handle more boost, that was 3 months and 8000.00 dollars ago and I still need about another 1000.00 before everything is together. I'm hoping to make somewhere around 550 to 600 RWHP with 16 to 18 PSI.
