Running take piping: ABS is completely in the way... need help

basically, I'm building intercooler piping and I can't get it to the intake elbow. The ABS unit is completely in the way.

First option: remove ABS unit. How involved is it? What fittings are needed.

Find a way to the intake.

Personally, I like the latter option, but I don't see how it's possible.

I just ditched the ABS on my car, less weight and more room As far as fittings go you need a way to make the two lines from the master cylinder split into 4 lines. I bought two of the Hurst line lock install kits and made it work. You need a pretty good flaring kit as well.

Hey Brandy, who made your heater delete plate that you have in your car now? Also, what kind of work was it getting out ( removal inside of the car, etc.)? My gawd that engine bay is clean as hell, good job.

Thanks,

Jesse, i can email you pics of my setup. The intercooler is located under the ds headlamp. Very similar to yours, and i have it apart right now for a new cooler. By fabbing an alternate radiator shroud, you can get a little room there. I have a procharger TB elbow, which is smaller in diameter than the MAF (which i have under my ps headlamp now). Plenty of clearance to the hood. Let me know if i can help more. Good luck...

From: I reached back like a pimp and smacked that LS1....
I trimmed back the fan shroud in that area and also used 3 inch pipe past the ABS. It is VERY tight, but it fits.

Thanks,
A friend of mine made it with a plasma cutter. It's a bear to get the dash out, good thing I didn't have to do it http://www.simplequickracing.com pretty much does all of the grunt work for me now since I've "retired" from dirty work.
