Reading Dyno Graphs
Reading Dyno Graphs
Not sure where to post this but since I've got a FI engine, I'll try here.
What's the difference between STD and SAE dyno graphs? Also, I hear that you can apply a smoothing function to the graph to remove some of the choppiness. However, in general, I've also heard that getting some jump or bounce in a dyno graph can show detonation is occuring. Is it possible to apply too much smoothing factor to cover up a problem?
Thanks in advance for any responses.
