Which would be the better way to go? I know the T-trim is cheaper.. but I have AFRs 190ccs and although they are not bad im sure they are not as great as Race Preps ones...

I know I'll gain more power with either, but cost effective would be a good way of putting it...

My concern is will I be able to get more power out of pump gas with the heads rather than the supercharger?

I mean with better flowing heads boost will go down considerably, so does IATs and most probably knocking... Off boost power should be a lot better too...

What would you guys do???

Rich?

You mean T-trim vs. S-trim and better heads? I'd get the heads.

assuming you mean T trim or S trim (not much price difference in a new kit) versus the race heads? I would absolutely go with a blower. i have had done both on different occassions. i had an experience stepping up from stock iron heads to good flowing aluminum heads. it was a nice gain, but i also had a seperate experience running a vortech blower and keeping the stock heads on. the blower made twice as much power increase ballpark. also caused twice as many headaches though with head gasket blowouts early in my tuning practice.

overall, performance go with blower. less maintenance and more reliability go with heads.

just my $.02

thanks,

mike

Do you want it to make more power on pump gas? If so, then I would do the heads - you won't make tremendously more power, but you will be making everything easier on the compression, see lower manifold pressures, allow for more timing, etc. It will be a more street friendly setup at the same pulley sizing. If you have room to pulley down than go for it.

Now if you are willing to run race gas I would just throw on the T trim and up the boost - but if you are willing to run race gas skip the T and get a YS trim and get your brackets clearanced.

ok. thats clears it up a bit. if you already have an S trim, you will gain more power with better flowing heads compared to a few more pounds of boost the T trim has to offer, IMO.
