quick question for powerdyne guys

Does the LT1 powerdyne kit come with a modified stock crank pulley or can you use the stock one?

Thanks,

Aram

It comes with a modified harmonic balancer (if thats what you mean by "pulley"). You need to use the one in the kit because it has been modified to fit the sc pulley.

yeah the balancer/pulley ....

I also have a question.. supposedly stock balancer is matched to the crank from the factory correct? On the powerdyne install I noticed that they ask you to put your stock balancer weight on it in the same spot so to retain the factory balance, but on the vortech manual it doesn't mention anything about that? I actually swapped my stock balancer with one from my other lt1 and drove it for a while and never noticed any difference in vibration or anything..

I would swap the weight anyway. Probably doesn't matter that much considering the sc is going to throw everything off a little more but what the heck, its easy (unless you have to pull everything off to get to it, then I wouldn't bother).

Hey Hal. I noticed you are from around where I will be living soon (Santa Clara). Maybe we can meet up sometime and go racing at Sacramento or something.

I don't race it (too afraid of breaking something). There is a bayarea group that does do that a lot. You can subscribe to the bayarea list and ask around. Somebody goes almost every weekend. They also do a hang out every now and then.

www.f-body.org The list subscription options are somewhere on the left side.
