Question for you blown guys

Ok I have a 96 T/A, Hooker cat-back, and a 160 thermo, fan switch, and SLP CAI, waiting to go on. I have about 85k on the car. Stock rearend. Yada yada. Just out of curiousity. What would happen if I put a blower on my car. I would get a used one from someway cuz I don't have enough money. But just out of curiousity what would happen?? Would I tear the rear end out, blow the motor??? What do you think?

Don't go the blower route, unless you are prepared to spend some big $$$.
The motor will be fairly safe with 6#, or 8# intercooled, provided you have good tuning, and you don't beat the crap out of it all the time.
The rear should be ok for street use, but don't try hooking it up with ET streets on a 5k dump.

To be honest I was hoping to find a used Vortech S-trim, for say 1800 or so...about 550 for install and maybe a LITTLE more for small things the kit doesn't come with. Is that unrealistic?

Don't forget about upgraded fuel system, better suspension to take advantage of the extra power and replacing the parts of the drivetrain you send to drivetrain hell.

It really adds up QUICK, especially if you have to pay people to do the work. I learned how to work on my car real quick after realizing the extra cost for someone else doing the work.
