please help with my fuel problem.
please help with my fuel problem.
I got a d1/383 car that i just started up this pas weekend. I had a friend of mine do a basic supercharger tune because the car wouldnt even idle with the 50 lbs injectors in it. So when i put the ecu back in the car fired right up and idle like a champ at 1k...smooth. the problem i'm having is when i rev up on it i'm getting this shake in the steering wheel at around 1600 if i rev up slow i still have it....2k it goes away at 3k it comes back in bad and the car just wants to shut off its starts to studder and pop like it dosent want to go pass 3k. I have a new opti, wires, plugs, coil. Heres what my fuel system looks like......10an bung welded into the passenger side rear of the tank a 10an line comes out of that and goes into the Aeromotive Filter which connects to A1000 pump then the 10an line comes out and goes under the car pass the rear and theres a NOS Y one 6 an line feeds the stock line into the fuel filter that goes up all the way to the rail, another 6 an line goes all the way to the other side of the rail and i have a 6 an bung welded into the one side of the rail. Before it hits the rail i have the Aeromotive 6 an FPR and ATI Fmu.
When the car idles i'm getting between 38-40psi of pressure, but when i go to rev up on it it drops to 30psi sometimes even lower. I know my fuel system is way better then stock but i dont understand why i cant sustain fuel pressure when i just rev up on the car? Can anyone help me with this problem thats keeping me from drving this monster. Btw i took it out and under slight load(still braking the motor in) the car starts to brake up.

Re: please help with my fuel problem.
its gravity fed, and the pump is fairly loud. i figured out the problem it was the fmu screwed all the way in i guess thats all the way open? anyway i'm building fuel pressure but the car is still braking up, i put new plugs in it today after 5 mins of driving around it started braking up again. seems to do it when its hot wondering if its the tune.
