Pics of my LS6/ YS Trim/ Griffin Air-Air setup

Hey guys...

Here are the almost final pics of my new setup...

What are you seeing...

348ci LS6 motor, 9:1 with 6.0 heads
Bauer ported and powdercoated TB
Vortech YS Trim, custom brackets
Relocated alternator, custom brackets
Griffin air/air intercooler, custom piping
Vortech Mondo Bypass
Weldon 2025 pump
B&M Pro Ratchet shifter in stock console

FYI the engine was done by Speed Inc.

The supercharger setup was all custom fabricated by Chris Sikora aka Znines ( and his brother Kurt) of SS Racing. Also want to thank Bob Kurgan for advising on many aspects of the combination.

We changed the clamps all over th the t-bar style it just took a while to get them.

Should be dynoing early next week.

That is an extremely nice setup. What kind of flow rate is the intercooler rated for? How much power do you think the car will make? Are you running a screen on the back of the blower to keep dirt out? If so where did you get your screen from?

-That intercooler is designed to support the Vortech YS Trim, which has a max airflow of 1500 cfm.
-Griffin also pressure tests intercoolers like this up to 80psi before they are shipped.
-What power? I'd like to go well into the 9's with a 3400 lb raceweight. I'm not sure what the T400 and my new converter will do so I'm not gonna get too crazy thinking about rwhp #'s.
-Chris made me a screen.

My setup uses the same size belt as a LT1/ YS Trim setup...

Chris also custom fabbed an adjustable solid tensioner for the belt..

I have a 8" crank pulley and a 2.85 blower pulley.
