Paging SleeperZ about the PT88 LT1 that goes 8's

I'd like to hear more about the car, what is it and what did it run?

Is it a stock suspended LT1 car with a turbo?

Everytime we hear about an 8 second LT1 the car turns out being a slow NMCA car with a Dart block.

I call BS.

Dude in the previous post i never stated what he ran with the car. He was mirrorly an example. If he gets his computer back from fast this season the opportuinty maybe there or not. Hell I think my car could run an eight judging by the amount of power it made and still has left in it, but the car was never intended to be a trailer queen. I didnt mean to get you all wound up, so I will leave it at that.

So to clarify, it's an 8 second car POTENTIALLY?

Just want to be clear.

You made it sound like he had already run 8's.

I just sent my FAST back, they turn them around in a week I can call them for your buddy and get it expedited so he can run an 8 second pass before it snows (serious). I have five contacts there.

I hope we all run 9's and then 8's someday.

There are five people working at FAST? Everytime I go there are usually two Lance and Craig. They are extremely helpful and nice. Everytime I have gone there they have taken care of me same day. Hope everything works out for you guys.

There are like 10... There are techs in TN and MS. If that PT88 guy has been waiting on his FAST for a long time there is a problem they turn stuff around in a week.

actually I think it may be precision. He converted to a conventioal sbc distributor it took a month and a half before he got it back. he got it last week and it was nothing that he order. Needless to say it went back to precision then to fast I assume. As you said John its usually 1 week turn around, as when mine when back. Precision is really dicking him around.

As for picks on the car, awhile back a few were posted on a local board but probably never find them because of the LS1.com crash a long time ago. His plan was hit the dyno the first day the computer arrived then probably the track to see what his numbers converted too.

ZNines can modify LT1 intakes for distributors too FWIW.
