P1sc or p600b or D-1
P1sc or p600b or D-1
Which one is better? how much boost can they put out? whats the price differance? I don't know anything about prochargers. Also how do you think they would run with a set of trick flow heads possibly with an LE3 port job
Re: P1sc or p600b or D-1
goto www.procharger.com you'll find the differences there and kits depending on your application.
Re: P1sc or p600b or D-1
It depends on your motor and what your intentions are.
P1SC is a self containted unit with no oil lines going back to the oil pan or feeding from above the oil filter.
P600B is a similar blower in that it is good for a stock motor on 7-8#'s of boost or a rebuilt 355 with 12# (can go 15 but you are at the effeciency limits of the blower at 15#).
If you want to go big and have already built your motor with a blower in mind (or are ready to rebuild) then get the D-1 (or D-1SC - again no oil lines) as you can run anywhere from 8-9#'s all the way to 20ish (I'm currently running 19#'s
)
Either way you go, I'd recommend getting a hold of Lonnie Pavtis from www.lonniesperformance.com "E" mail lpavtis@earthlink.net as he gives excellent prices and first rate tech support. I've bought two kits from him (first kit was a P600B) and then my D-1.
When I had my P600B and was running 8#'s of boost, the car made 405 RWHP / 418 RWTQ and went a best of 11.81 @ 116.5.
Good luck and remember "Boost is addictive" and not cheap, everyone joins the rebuild club sooner or later.
