This is correct. You kjnow you can buy 45 degree fittings too right?

Back to my statemnt though, think of the oil drain fitting coming out of the turbo straight down... you can angle it ~20-25 degrees toward the oil pan (this is for the oil drain/feed). The water side should be pressureized with water to cool the bearings.

Its my first rodeo and you guys are helping me a ton! Thanks.

If you asked me a month ago I had no intentions of turboing my car. A deal fell in my lap and next thing I know Im trying to figure out WTF is going on.

PM 182z28with18s as he runs a BB turbo. Ask him how his cooling setup is.
How do I know if my turbo is a ball-bearing unit?

As far as I know, all ball bearing turbos require water cooling. You should have a oil inlet and outlet on the center cartridge, and then 90 degrees from that should be a water inlet/outlet.

You have a standard Precision T76GTS right? Thats not a ball bearing turbo.

That's what I have. Here I thought I has gotten the best model for my mostly street-driven car. Can I upgrade a turbo later to incorporate a ball-bearing setup?

you could but honestly for what it will cost you, its probably not worth it. the ball bearing will decrease spool time by a few hundred rpms but nothing dramatic though for a street car this might be nice, the real advantage water cooling has is the reduction of coking the bearings due to oil temps being too high by keeping temps under the coking threshold

You have the most power T4 Precision/turbonetics turbo out there (ignoring the new turbos offered by Jose @ Forced Inductions). IMO, BB isnt worth the cost upgrade unless you get a deal on one.
