THis is the TurboSmart 38 Wastegate that Jose at Forced Inductions recommended to go with the TC76 w/MPS wheel.

THanks Forced Induction..
Hopefully, the dogs will bark tomorrow to indicate the 60# Mototrons are here

The Mototron 60 pounders arrived today.
http://www.taekwondoplus.org/z28/Turbo/Mototron.jpg
I got these used from a guy on the LT1 edit list for $400 including shipping. They have about 500 miles on them. They are flow matched by Racetronics.
Another step towards Nirvana!

Ordered the Hot Parts kit a few minutes ago. Stainless steel log style. Half inch plasma cut header flanges, all the V bands/clamps, etc. The T76mm will be mounted where the stock Air Pump is usually located. Part of the weight of the Turbo will be supported by the drivers side T4 flange and additional support is from a quarter inch bar stock from the flange to the head. The down pipe will have provisions for 3 O2 bungs. Two for the stock narrow band and one for my Innovate wideband O2 sensor. It'll be awhile since this is a custom kit. The projected delivery date is end of Jan to middle of Feb. That's okay. It's snowing right now so it's not like I could do anything if it were a shelf item.

I can tell you from experience that you want the O2 sensors in the header collectors. When I built my kit I originally had my sensors mounted in the downpipe and the car would die once it warmed up. I moved the 02 sensors to the header collectors. Problem solved.

Thanks Chris. I made an assumption on the location. The builder contacted me after I posted this and corrected my perception and stated it's setup like you conveyed.
Glad to see guys are watching out for each other here !

I wonder why that happened. The TTI single kit doesn't have a problem with the O2 sensors in the DP.

I was wondering the same thing... all of the kits below (most are for LS1's) utilize the driver's side NB sensor in the DP:

TTi
QMP (went out of business)
Stainless Works
GMR Speed
Ground Zero

Hey guys. Still waiting for the hotparts kit to get here. Meanwhile, what size and specification of a fitting do I need for oiling system to/from the turbo? I will pull the pan to drill/tap the oil return line. Where did you guys get your stainless braided line? What did you use to tap the oil pressure sensors feed? Thanks,
Dave

Dave, typically the feed is a 4AN line and the return should be a 10AN line. The oil feed should be taken from the hole above the oil filter (there should be a plug there that you can remove (I think its 1/8 NPT).

Thanks Jon. Since you're familiar with the ultimate layout of my setup, how many feet of line will I need to go from/to the oil supply site you mention and the turbo?
THanks!

3ft should be fine, but I'd get 4ft to be safe... that way if it needs to be routed out of the way you'll have plenty of length.

Just took another step in the direction of Turbo heaven, ... based on the opinion of a close friend and Turbo installer, I bought an 3" OBX Intercooler for a front mount installation. He said that if I were boosting less that 15psi, that the inexpensive OBX intercoolers would be fine. I ordered one last night. Here is a pic from the website.

It's a universal fit and comes with mounting hardware.
