Hey BruceVette,
I did not understand your question "The # thru the IC? or non IC?"

think the answer he is looking for is non-IC...the STS turbo kits do not have an intercooler with them due to the piping length running under the car being enough to cool the charge a decent amount...

Anyway I made the final decision in Feb to purchase and finally got the call from the shop (Woodbridge Dynotune) today that the car was ready to pick up. My car was basically stock except for the SLP headers and loudmouth exhaust. The car also had 80,000 miles on the engine. Some may not like the results from the kit, but my purpose of buying was so that I did not hack my car to pieces on fitting a turbo system in the car and still have something I could drive daily. I did not want anything too radical and if I decided to rebuild the engine I could just take the car down and have it retuned. In this case, I am not going for the mine is bigger than yours concept. Wisdom says that whatever you have or own, someone else has one better. Anyway my before numbers are 270RWHP with 308LB of TQ. The after numbers are 350RWHP with 380LB of TQ. Sure I could have had the car leaned out for more HP. Just wanted to be on the safe side and save the engine until I have the other built. I want to thank both Luke who help with all of my questions and also Rick from STS. Also want to thank John from Woodbridge Dynotune on his recommendations. Hope everyone has a great Spring and Summer. To all my SS brothers PEACE OUT!
WOW 350RWHP holy $hit lemme call GMHTP so they can do an article on all that HP your making That's PATHETIC considering that people are making those numbers N/A at a fraction of a cost of that POS turbo setup. Guess some people are just naturally stupid

Come on man. Your comments have already been made by hundreds of others. If you don't care for it just skim over it like I did. Lets keep it civil. Go drink a beer and watch some **** or something.

Ha Ha your pretty funny, sure 350 rwhp doesn't sound like much, but this is with only 5 psi, turn it up to 8 and your pushing about 420-430 rwhp if you look here http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...4-97fbody.html
You'll see an aftercooled 438 flwhp estimate and its over a thousand dollars more, So ya your so right I guess anyone with a charger or turbo is wasting their money? Looks to me these kits are making just as much power as the other kits out there Lukez28 has dynoed 408 with 7 psi add one more to make 8 should net him at about 15-20 more ponies. Also notice the tune was done on the safe side, not for max power. Sure you can throw a big cam and heads and gears in your car, get worse gas mileage and horrible drivability for the same power level as someone with stock drivability and mileage, not to mention a heads and cam package will run close to 3000 bucks, plus all the extras like gears and convertors and such. Horsepower is not cheap, no matter which route you go, some of us have to pass emissions and can't put in illegal longtubes and big cams to make power. I guess if you want to sound stupid than just keep talkin your crap and make believe everyone cares about what you have to say. Better yet, why don't you start an STS cry baby website, so you can stop wasting everyones time.

In my opinion this STS turbo are very decent and easy to install as compared to under hood turbo. If I have to do a head/cam or STS turbo. I guess I will choose STS turbo. Remember as someone else have mentioned it only 5psi. You can always turn up the boost.

Mr. I1O0O1I,

You know If you would have read from the beginning you would have picked up on my purpose (and you site my stupidity). Not knowing who others are and calling them names can be dangerous to your health I am trying real hard not to come down to your level, but since you started; sticks and stones... There may be some things in life in which you choose that I might feel have exceeded my budget for the purpose. So personally, I try real hard not to judge others. If you really are interested, this is only stage 1 of the project. I do plan on building another engine in the future that will have the internals to handle higher boost and will still have air and be emissions legal. Man, I just love America and the choices we have. Oh, buy the way, um, I don¡¦t see what car you have or HP ratings you dynoed.

Nice work. I know that personally I have spent ALOT more $$$ to get to 343/356 in NA form. I wish STS had been around about 3 years ago.

But, they are still going to change my car for the better....

BBB,
What? My stock rebuild and CC306 makes 350rwhp.
How much did you spend to get 343rwhp?

That turbo kit sounds simple with nice gains. I used to run a 4.5psi Powerdyne with no tuning and made pretty much the same numbers.

Let me see if I can remember it all.
FLP longtubes: $1300+
Self ported heads: About $60 for bits and scrolls
Head upgrades: Ferrea Valves, Comp 1.44 springs, ProMag 1.6 rockers, cromoly pushrods, umbrella seals, guide plates, shims, retainers, locks, and machine work (I really can't remember but the valves and machine work was mid$500, and the rockers were mid $200) I think it was between $1000-$1200
TB porting$75
CAI $35
modified exhaust mid $200s

Those are the only things I have done to add power; however, within weeks I tore the clutch in half on a hard launch. I replaced that with a $904 Mcleod street twin, and promptly hurt the rearend whic was in turn replaced by a Moser 12.

I would be making 400+ with a cam. The power made out of just the head port was amazing. But 400 NA is NOTHING like 700+ boosted!

It's SOOO funny how you idiots can sit here and say "oh well if I do this and that and this and that it's gonna make this much power and BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. SHUT THE PUCK UP AND DO IT ALREADY!! Your soo convinced that your sh*tty *** turbo kit is GOING TO WORK soo good, but Im not seeing ANY results except a bunch of TALK and people's cars blowing up after they put that kit on. But judging by the kinda moron it takes to even BUY that kit, I can see why their car's blow up after they put it on
