For tuning only... correct? Seems like the right way to go.

Right. It has a number of neat features. Notably, datalogging including to ability to log rpm and AFR and then download the data for display on a PC.

Question, as far as the cableing goes, do you just bring it in through the door opening?, or how does that portian work?.

Is there any one that is logging RPM?

How did you connect it to the LM-1 and the car?

That is the lm1

you can check it out at

www.innovatemotorsports.com

I have one.. it works wonderfully.. the best is that you can tune at the street.. there is an exhaust clamp that works beautifully...

You can connect the LM1 to the RPM via the inductive pickup nad rpm converter...

My converter got damaged for some reason and they replaced ASAP at their cost.. I just shipped the old one back...

Great costumer support... the total package went for like 500 bucks with all needed accessories

350 for the lm1
99 for the rpm converter
20 for inductive pick up
75 for exhaust clamp + shipping...
of everything...
it logs rpm and a few nice things... you can connect it to the pcm and download all the data and also has a monitor program that lets you see real live as it is being logged...

with the rpm inductive you just tap into the spark wire and that is it

Is that the only way to receive the RPM signal...through an inductive clamp?

Or can you splice into a low voltage source such as the ignition control wire?

Yes you can.. the rpm converter is an expander where you can log... MAP.. TPS... RPM.. up to 5 inputs w/o a problem... 12frames/s

Cool…I have been kinda reading up on the LM-1 and the RPM converter. Read some problems people have had logging RPM and getting noise in the signal. Seems they’re all grounding issues making sure your ground of the LM-1 and the tach ground are at the same potential. Just wanted conformation that someone with an LT1 has tapped off a low voltage RPM source with success and which wire it was (ignition control, injector wire…).

Don’t want to use the inductive clamp if I don’t have to…just makes a cleaner install IMO. Still will buy it to tune other vehicles.

Thanks for the info

Could you explain it a bit more? I've seen the website but I'm still not clear. I've already got the extra bungs. I don't have cats. What is it and what does it do for you?

Its a clamp that you put in the exhasut tip and you isntall the sensor there... since you do not have to get under the car is very useful to install it and then remove itwhen you are done.
