New build, need advice on blower/head options

First timer posting in the FI section so bare with me. I've done quite a bit of reading but still a bit undecided on the direction I want to take with my setup.

Goal is 650rwhp or more with a forged 383 on pump gas with meth.

I would like to reuse some of the parts from the current engine as I am building an entirely new engine. The cylinder heads on the car are lackluster untouched edelbrock performers with the air gap intake. I also have the stock intake and heads.

I was thinking of using the D1SC however based on my research, it may be tough to achieve my power goals unless I get a better flowing set of heads.

Would goin with a F1A and having the edelbrock heads ported be an easier route or am I better off using the D1SC and better flowing heads? I am not trying to skimp on the build but if I can use some of what I already have then why not.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

sell the edlebrock boat anchors on ebay, sell the stockers on ebay, get yerself a set of trickflows, throw the D1SC on it, and awy you go. Should put down 600, even without porting the trickflows. Send them to lloyd and get 'em cleaned up and you should easily be able to do 650.
