New best Powerdyne ET despite horrible traction
Tale of the tape:
60 ft - 2.029
330 ft - 5.535
1/8 ET - 8.307
1/8 MPH - 89.94
This was with the Nitto 555 DR's spinning most of the first 300 feet. My right rear was doing most of the spinning during the burnout which points to a lousy posi. This became even more apparent when spinning down the track because the car did not get sideways. I wasn't able to hit full throttle at all in 1st gear. I would launch at about 4,000 RPM and let the motor pull me forward as I feathered the clutch (not goosing the throttle....letting the motor pull me itself) , then ease into the throttle a little more once I got moving. Regardless, the Nitto's would go up in smoke no matter what ......even if I let off the gas some to let them catch up and hook, I'd get back on it and they'd light up again. They spun most of the way through 2nd gear as well and 3rd gear was the traction gear (finally). That was my best pass out of five and the others were similar. One pass yielded 90.20 MPH ....I was more proud of that than anything. I think the only way it could be a 7 second car is with slicks and/or a nice 12-bolt or 9-inch with a really good posi though

Charlie, it is time for a 12 bolt and a Stage 3 clutch!! Add some ET streets for the new rubber. If I have any luck then I will be up on the 17th of this month. Bring the car and I will bring a camcorder. You can try my new BFG drs or Sean's ETs while you are there
. Congrats on the run bro. Enjoy the mountains on the fishing trip.

Excellent Miles an hour.
I have a Powerdyne setup, and have just finally gotten an occasional 89 mph in the eighth, with a low 12 sec 1/4 on drag radials. I'm sure if you put some slicks on there, you are headed for the 11's with a good takoff. If you stay on the drags, a low 12 is still nice.
Enjoy it.
