I saw your run in person. very impressive. You might remember me. Black TA with the Vortech. I guess your experiment with N2O and a blower worked out better than mine. Congrats. If somebody has never raced with DA's above 5000ft they just won't understand.

 

Yea, I remember you. Last time I saw you run with both power adders you were having backfiring issues, correct? My car is an auto, and flashes the converter to 5k when I hit the nitrous, so backfires are less likely. Is your car a stick? I was thinking it was an auto too, in which case, what was/is your stall?

 

Backfiring issues = learning the hard way why you need a window switch on a stickshiftcar. I was fortunate not to hurt the motor. After adding long tubes and resolving some tuning issues the car was as fast without the spray so I gave up on the nitrous.
I then decided to work on my 60ft times . Next came the SPEC stage 3 clutch and ET streets. 3 broken rear ends later I decided 1.7-1.8 60fts is the best I'm gonna get. I then contemplated an auto conversion but have decided to bring this project to a halt(temporary???). I may get serious on my 99 but I also really like the new GTO. OF course I'd have to sell both TA's to afford a GTO.
What to do? Who knows. Anyway the time,care, and attention to detail that you took to get your N2O system properly set up with your blower really shows in how well your car runs. Seeing a big four door run away from a drag car is awesome. Next time I see you at Idalou I'll stop and say hello.Later ,Jeff.
