Need good tuner in SoCal for Vortech LT1

I have the engine (LT1) running in my MGB finally and need to have it tuned. It will be a tricky tune due to 11:1 compression and a Vortech supercharger. I also have methanol injection to supress knock. I'm looking for someone with experience tuning supercharged engines. Andy at A&A said he couldn't do it because he doesn't have the software for this engine.

I could send you a base tune I use for my turbo z28 to get you started. That compression ratio is lofty for a power adder though. I could dial back the timing to allow for it and make sure the knock sensor settings will pull 12 degrees of timing if it detects knock.

I can only do the tuning for an OBD1 computer.
If that's what you have, I'll need;
  • Cubic inches of your motor
  • Size of your injectors
  • Is you Map sensor stock (1 bar) or a 2 bar?
  • What gear ratios in the differential do you have?
  • What kind of transmission are you running?
Lastly, do you have any way to pull your tune or upload a new one? If not, I can get you a utility to pull it but you'll need to buy the C.A.T.S. Tool (about $49?) to do the uploads. I think you can still pull down TunerPro and use it to monitor/fine tune your tune. Again, all this is predicated on your PCM being an OBDI.

Do you have a wide band setup in your car?

Let me know.

Thanks for the offer Dave but to get everything I need to be able to tune the car I could pay someone to do it who has a lot more experience that I do.

I do have a 350, OBD1, 60 lb injectors, stock MAP, 3.73 gears and a 6 speed. No wide band. No laptop

I am at Spiderman 2 right now but I will send you a great working file to hand to your tuner with those options set up. Good luck!
