I've had the cometics and studs for two years with no problems. Tuning is the biggest thing.. run lean or detonate and you'll blow out about anything you have.

[QUOTE=Lonnie Pavtis] The stock LT1 gasket is thicker & made of weaker material... do not use these. You should be fine with a 1074 & studs./QUOTE]

I just found out yesterday that i had the stock replacement head gasket on my car. I thought when we rebuilt it we used the 1074 but i was wrong.

I was losing compression into the water jackets on the #2,#8 cylinder and the #1 was starting to do the same thing.

What is the part# of the head studs?

Thanks
Travis

Well what I was asking was for you to look on your invoice when you recieve them. It will have the part# on there, it should be one of the part#'s above.

Thanks

You trust Summit alot more than I do. Told them three times on the phone headers for a four wheel drive truck and still wound up getting them for a two wheel drive

What do you guys think about this one?
Might be nice if it were for the LT1, looks like it's only for SBC's, the LT1 gaskets are a little different.
