Need Advice on Combination
The Car is a 01 Z-28 M6. So far I have only installed a SLP y-pipe, Borla Cat-Back, Bo White ported throttle body, Katech manual belt tensioner, K&N air intake, and superchips tuning. Also done a number of chassis improvements. I started down the road to build a 400 horse naturally aspirated motor. I got a pair of Futral Stage 2 heads, and Cartek 224/224 .571 lift cam on 113 lobe separation. The more I looked under the hood the less I became interested in doing the head and cam swap. I am a old guy and bending over a car for many hours is not my idea of fun anymore. I then bought a Powerdyne 6 psi supercharger and better fans, walbro pump, 42 pound injectors. I will finish that install this spring and get a tune. I am beginning to wonder if that will satisfy my need for speed, and have started thinking of adding the cam and heads also. The concern I have other than the labor involved, is the heads are milled .030. That will bring the compression up to about 10.9. If I decide to run the heads, should I use a .070 head gasket to reduce the compression? Will this spec cam work with the blower/heads? Thanks guys.

The problem with using a thicker gasket to crutch the compression down is that you throw the quench wide open. That'll make the engine more prone to detonation, something you DON'T need on a supercharged engine.
Swapping out the heads is your best bet.
