LS1 ignition on LT1
Its a direct bolt on. There is an LT1-LS1 harness you have to get from GM. Its part number 7581209.
Try a search before you order the harness

I've never heard of an "lt1 ls1 harness." What is it used for??? All you need it the LTCC controller box, 8 LS1 coils and brackets to mount them on, and cut-to-fit plug wires. The low res pulse from the opti is used as a crank position sensor for the LTCC box. Voila, you have LS1 ignition.

Where did this info come from? Who do you know, that has done the swap with the above harness? I'd be interested in that archived info as well. Give me a link.

It was an, apparently, misguided attempt at humor. Hence the "look up the part number" comment

My sense of humor is as 'colorful' as anyone's, however, in this case I fail to see that humor. I believe there is enuf misinformation on this site that is believed unconditionally, as it is, to even consider the need to deliberately/intentionally add more to it. Next time you 'see' 96-speed, tell him I consider his post, in poor taste. He/anyone can consider that 'misguided attempt', as 'striking a nerve'. Oh, and BAH.....humbug!
