has anyone tried these for a budget boost piston? they are for a 383 with a 5.7 rod & give 9.2 to 1 with 58cc heads. would they be good for 8-10# of IC boost? i think they are around $250 a set with rings. i haven't seen any forged for that price. KB told me that they have used them with 16# boost & spray. ATI told me that forged are needed at 12#.

There are decent forged pistons that have been proven to work with boost for relatively cheap prices - Wiseco comes to mind for <$400. Don't take that kind of chance for $150.
