Iac

I just bought my car a couple of weeks ago and now the ses light is coming on because of the IAC. Is this normal if your car is supercharged because more air is being forced through the throttle body?? Just wondering if i should change the IAC or just take it apart and clean it up! Thanks guys.

Re: Iac

Have you ran the car through datamaster or freescan to see what the positioning of the IAC is currently at and how it's resonding to throttle? I believe it's suppose to be somewhere close to .5 to .55 when the throttle body is in the idle position. Also what is the car doing idling high? low? not running? Scan before you buy a new one.
