How well will a fresh LT1 hold boost?

Depends on what you are shooting for.

Rods seem to get iffy past @ 400 and I don't know of any stock rods past 500. Rod bolts and high rpms are responsible for lots of spun bearings.

Crank is pretty strong up to reasonable amounts. But you can get an eagle/scat for something @ $350 I think.

People will say main caps, but I am shooting for 600 to the wheels and running 2 bolt studs

The more power you make the more issues come up like heads etc, but on moderate levels these are the first issues.
