Its running again!

My car is finnally running again and I have some new numbers from initial tuning. 693RWHP 713RWTQ with the D1 only and 811RWHP with a 100 shot. These are initial numbers and are sure to go up. I hope to make a few shakedown passes in a couple weeks to dial it in further. I'm happy to have the car up again and can't wait to get on the track I still expect over 900RWHP when its all dialed in and an 8 second slip!

Are those numbers with the Meth? Also, how many PSI did it make?

Ya I use an AlkyControll kit with two M15 nozzles spraying pure Meth. It made 20PSI. I made 22PSI last year with my old AFR 190s My new AI prepped TFS heads flow way better and make up to 60RWHP more under the curve and about 25RWHP peak. I used to see 24#s with a hundred shot I only saw 18#s on the couple nitrous pulls but the belt may have slipped. I have a few bugs to work out.

I have a similar setup that is a lot like yours but I'm expecting the blower to be maxed at 15 lbs. That's what I've been told anyways. You do have about a .5 increase in compression over me.

Do you have a D1 or D1SC and what's your pulley combo and max RPM?

I have a regular D1 not the D1SC. I have the 7.65 crank pulley and a 3.55 blower pulley. I have worked alot on my custom piping and that has picked up boost alot over what most people see. I also have a 7 inch wide 18 inch long filter! Max RPM well thats wherever the stock computer decides freak out and that looks like 7200 I accidently reved it up their on the dyno I always felt the old setup go flat above 6600 but this one pulls hard all the way up!

NIce numbers! Is this a 355 or 383? Got any pics of your filter and how it's mounted or the whole IC assembly? How much timing are you using w/ the meth?

Its a 398 no good pics at the moment a bunch of stuff changed when I put it back together. I don't run an IC and have hard 4inch piping from blower to filter that tucks up in the drivers side fender pointing towards the front of the car and its tight! from the blower outlet its hard 3inch pipe that makes two turns. the only couplers are on my MAF and TB the rest is welded it takes a little wiggling to get it in but all fits nice and there is no way pipes can blow apart at the couplers under boost.

Yes it does I estimate about 4 gallons per mile!

Jeff how much does your car weigh and what does it run without the Nitrous or meth. Doing a Maxed out D1SC setup with a FMIC, SDCE Tensioner, 4inch hard Aluminum elbow, with all aluminum tubing (Weighs like 8lbs) VRE 383 with ported LE 216 AFR heads, Ported LE Edelbrock LT4 intake. Monoblade TB, XE 224/230 cam, 4L80E tranny, Morel lifters, Beehives, ETC, ETC.
Without meth I was hoping for 650-700RWHP with some help from Ed Wright . I even have a Nitro Daves Monoblade Nitrous plate that I may shoot a 50 shot through to cool the charger.
Whats your Tranny and converter, because I bet truly that thing is making North of that 69XRWHP, I really like the TQ though.
I remember you had some stock AFR heads, so the new heads seemed to being working, also what camshafts have you had in the car??

I would like to know more about your setup??

My car weighs 3565 with me in it. I have a Rossler TH400 and a ProTorque converter and yes it robs HP How much not really sure I guess with a Manual trans numbers would 50-75 higher. My cam is Big but not much lift mainly because it was designed around my old poor flowing heads and big lift wouldn't have Helped. I really need to design a cam around the new heads.
I will post up some times from my shake down passes in a couple weeks.

You can lock your converter so You should make your HP goals.

Wow! I am almost in desbelief that you are making that kind of boost out of a D1. What is the max impellor speed with your pulley combo?

I have seen a few D1's make 18#'s, and I have heard of a few others supposedly making 20#'s. But I have NEVER heard of anyone making that much boost out of it.
