How much boost on LE2 kit? Stock internals.

So I am about ready to go get a 96 WS6 formula with the LE2 kit this weekend. I am in process of buying a P1-SC twin highflow HO kit and would like to just stick it on the car right away

My original plan was to forge the bottom end and then stick the kit on with around 12-14 PSI. But I think I might wait until next summer to forge the bottom end and would like to stick the Procharger on as soon as I get it.

So my question, how much boost would you guys run with the kit just like it is, 42 lb injectors, a dual walbro set up, methanol injection on a stock bottom end already putting down 400 RWHP??

Or should I just wait until I'm forged?

Just wait for the forged parts, if you destroy a piston you could damage your heads. I would just wait.

or you can **** your factroy motor for now and build a good one later, you dont always have to buy forged internals right off the back pump it with the stocker unless you have some mad $$$$

The LE2 raises the compression and a supercharger is the wrong direction to go with that car. Nitrous would favor that setup better and would be cheaper anyways.

ummm I'd go with neither.

the le2 package pushes the limits on the stock internals as it is.

why risking blowing your motor after you just spent all that money on those heads/cam?

run the le2 now and when u save up enough TO DO IT RIGHT, add a power adder.

if you do it right the first time, you won't have to do it again.

Sell the le2 setup, get a forged shortblock, and a turbo.

After seeing the vids of your car, believe me, I have thought about it!!

If I do anything I think I might wait. Like you all were saying the LE2 kit does raise compression just a hair and the already high LT1 compression is not very blower friendly.

I still have my nitrous kit off my old car, so hell, I might just bolt that on!

Put a stock motor in it with 15 lbs of boost. Blow it up and you're out a few hundred bucks. Go buy another wore out *** motor. I read about people using a junkyard motor and a healthy amount of boost. No problems. Most of the time. Hell, I've got 2 buddies now with slapped together stuff and stock motors with about 9.5:1 bashing the hell out of their cars, and trap some pretty decent MPH in the eighth.

Don't know about 1/4. Too far away.
