How are intercooler cores flow tested?

How are intercooler cores flow tested?
I'm building my own and want to flow test it before installing it. Is this done just like cylinder heads on a flow bench at 28"/H20? Just curious how I should have it tested.
Also, will the shop that is flow testing them be able to easily tell me what the pressure drop is after the core? The shop I have my heads tested with use a Superflow600 bench.
