How is this cam

How is this cam

This cam is for a 396 H/C/I LT1 runnig a T88 I got this cam with my Trickflows from loyd elliot and while i trus there judgement this cam dosent look like the turbo cam profiles ive seen heres the cam card

Intake Exhaust
Valve Adjsutment Hyd Hyd
Gross valve lift .568 .571
Duration @
.020 Tappet Lift 275 272
Valve Timing Open Close
@. .050 Int: 0 BTDC 44 ABDC
Exh: 57 BBDC 5 ATDC
These Specs are for the cam installed
@ 112.0 Intake Center Line
Intake Exhaust
Duration @ .050 224 242
Lobe Lift .3790 .3810
Lobe Seperation 114.0


Can anyone help me with my question on why this looks so diffrent from other profiles ive seen mainly i just want to make sure i can reach my power target power which is 700ish thought a Th400 and Dana 60 rear ?

It's not all that different from my cam. It's 224/236-114 and I'm running a T76, 388, AFR 210's, and made 695 rwhp through a TH350 and 9" at only 17 psi. You got more cid, more turbo, and more exhaust duration, so I think 700 won't be a problem.

ALright that answered my question....now i need to finish her up and get her on the dyno then the track to see what she will do Hopefully i will suprise myself with the dyno numbers and as for the track.....well im not one for making predictions so im taking a wait and see approch to that Hopefully ill be pleasentlly suprised

Ron - you'll make the numbers no problem. The whole turbo cam theory is up in the air, seems like you can make power with any cam and a turbo lol
