help on installing Hooker LT's

I am trying to assemble my engine with heads still off and Hooker LT's waiting to be intalled. Couple members(FastGuyJR and Sean94Z ) already replied, and their advices were to put heads on first, and then lift the enginge up a bit and install the long tube headers. Can I get away by installing headers without lifting the engine? Should I position my headers first and then bolt the heads on?

Thanks for any help

I did my headers when I was putting the engine back in.. We kind of put the headers in place first and lowered the engine around it.. I suppose you could put the headers in and try to work around them to get the heads on..

Good luck!
