Heads and FI

How important are heads when adding a supercharger. I know they are very important when talking about a NA engine. I would assume it would be about the same for a FI engine.

Re: Heads and FI

usually better flowing heads will allow your supercharger to make the same power with less boost.

Because the the heads now flow more air at atmospheric pressure the superchrager doesn't have to pressurize the intake charge as much to get the same power.

All of this is assuming that your compressor can provide the additional flow that the engine now wants.

So better flowing heads are just as important when you start talking big numbers.

Keep in mind that i am talking in the general sense, if i wanted to get into details i would be writting a thesis.

hope this helps.
