Guys with 2 core IC (inside please).

How much boost are you running?
How hot does your IAT get above ambient?
And What HP are you putting down?

Any help would be appreicated.
Thanks,
Claude

When I had my 2core front mount running 12#s of boost, my intake temps would get up to about 150 occasionally 160*(probably about 75-85* above ambient). 524RWHP

Wow thats pretty up there....Mine is about the same, I guess Mine are not unusually high like I originally thought but I will pull the IC out and clean out the cooling fins to see if it helps at all. I know when I did this with My AC condensor and Radiator, it did drop the coolant temps about 20 degrees.

Thanks for responding.

One thing i wasnt impressed with was when I switched over to the twins my air temps werent that much different. Although I was running a little more boost theyre supposed to be rated at around 750rw whereas the 2core is rated around 450. Im just going to switch over to a larger front mount.

CJ, if you were still running the same amount of boost the temps would have been lowered with the twins right? i sure hope so,

From what I have heard the twin high flows are good for 700hp (at the motor). I put down 705rwhp with my twin high flows and my IAT were also around 160. I recently bought a Spearco intercooler that hopefully will drop my IATs.

im glad that they support that much power because i dont think im going to make anywhere near that, i dont have the twins but i was curious if the piping takes up alot of room under the hood or is it just underneath the car? thanks guys

With the twins I was running close to 14-15#s of boost. I was just suprised that my IAT was still around 145. So yes the twins work better than the 2core, just not as well as I expected. I dont know how much power i was putting down, my butt-o-meter guestimation was probably a little over 600rw.

IDOXLR8, remember a few months ago when I was having problems with my boost 'flatlining' a little over 5k rpms. I was almost convinced that it was from the twins or some blockage in one of the 3000 bends in the tubing. Apparently, my blower pulley keyway broke and the pulley was just spinning on the shaft. I dont know if it was related or not but all the bearing in my motor died shortly after that.

The tubing is close to the same under the hood. However, there is A LOT more underneath.
