The air/fuel gauges dont give useful information because they use the narrow band O2 sensors for a signal. The reading you get from those bounce all over the place. If you just want a light show without any usefull info you can use one of those :P . Get the electric fuel pressure gauge for your pod, boost and fuel pressure are critical in a forced induction application. In my pillar pod I have the boost and fuel pressure gauges, I have one of those air/fuel ratio meters that I might just throw into a plate in the cd/cassette storage area where it's out of the way just cause it kinda looks cool

+1 on not getting a narrowband O2 gauge.

I have boost and fuel pressure as my two gauges. You may want to consider a wideband O2 sensor with gauge as well. I have a wideband sensor, but I just log data with it.

Yeah, you need a wideband of some kind, but you can't live with a blown car and no fuel pressure gauge.

I have a WBO2 with lean warning light in 1 and a boost gauge in the other. I use a DynoJet WB gauge and an Autometer Boost gauge so they match.

thanks guys. i was thinkin the pressure guage but i thought the air fuel would do the same thing but give the information differently.

A fuel pressure gage (I would go electronic on this one) will be more important that even a wideband 02 sensor. If your fuel pressure suddenly drops, at least you'll instantly know you will be lean. Mine really saved my butt because on the dyno my fuel pressure regulator went out during one of the runs, and I could easily see that from the gage. Not to mention I was having other issues with the fuel pumps falling off the rubber fuel lines in my fuel tank!!

Now, I would also say that getting a WIDEBAND 02 sensor would be a great investment as well. I also have one in my car. The display is located below my stereo (I'll post a pic) so I didn't have to put it in addition to my 2 gage pilar. Both of these are good investments, but I would put the fuel pressure gage as a higher priority IMO than the wideband, and WAY higher than a narrow band 02 sensor.

Here's a pic of my wideband screen. It is made by a company in CA called Zietronix. The screen gives me Lambda, EGT, as well as boost, and wideband 02 readings.
