Is this a good turbo cam

Does anybody know if this would be a good turbo cam. Would it be mild, aggressive, etc, etc. Would this be more aggressive then the hot cam which I have now. Basically looking to run this with the STS KIT with stock heads for now. - Mike

I'd never use a reverse split cam on a FI motor.

I think that your turbo cam that you selected sounds pretty good. not to much duration on the intake side which is proper seeing as though you are staying with stock cubic inches. and as far as i know putting a reverse split cam on a turbo motor is pretty commonplace these days. apparently the added exhaust duration helps the exhaust velocity which in turn helps spool the turbine faster. your lsa should give you a slight lope but hardly noticable and completely streetable.
Lift is also good with a stock motor.
HOWEVER... sorry to see you are going with sts turbos. ...chances are you are going to want alot more power in the future and sts is not good for superior horsepower/torque, only moderate to decent gains.

STS systems are not good for superior horsepower/torque, Only moderate to decent gains???? Theres guys making 7-800rwhp with these systems. Since when is that much horsepower a moderate gain?? These systems produce amazing power and torque. If I want more power then I just upgrade the turbocharger.

Re: Is this a good turbo cam

Kraest must not know alot about FI....you use a reverse split camshaft if you have a poor or not very good flowing exhaust system compared to the intake...ie for example on the ls1 like a log style manifold. It helps stop reversion with a slightly larger intake duration then exhaust.Thats why you use a reverse split....and search for a member on LS1tech called PurEvl...he only made 800rwhp with an sts ....granted on an ls6 block but 800hp is 800hp.

Re: Is this a good turbo cam

That is almost the exact cam I have in my LT1 right now. Has a slight lope, and has responeded fine to the turbo system. I want to try a slightly smaller duration.

Show me a link...he went to the Phamspeed kit so he can do 800rwhp on pump like he did 700rwhp w/sts on pump. I live 15 minutes from Slowhawk, so i usually here all the news about the combo. I would be very surprised that there was a post about 800hp that I missed...

You know he had the kit running when the track as closed and already moved onto the Phamspeed kit before the track reopened. You always seem to ask anyway because your an sts hater...we get it. If dyno numbers dont mean anything, take them out of your sig and put a track time instead.
