Going twins, couple quick questions.
Going twins, couple quick questions.
Okay, so, im giving myself a christmas present...just like last year. But this year, instead of a garrett GT88, its going to be two smaller turbos. Goal is 650ish at the wheels, and i found a pair of turbos perfect for it. I know several people using them, and while they are cheaper turbos, they are well proven.
how are you guys doing your oil feed line? -4 line that splits into two -3s?
And on the same note, how about drain lines? two smaller lines that connect into like a -10 line? or just two seperate spots in the oil pan?
thats really the only questions i have, thanks in advanced.

You change your mind too often
I thin I am sticking with my 70 for now.... half way thought about adding a second one of them.
I've seen them split like you are talking about, I have also seen somebody put a t in the top of one turbo and just run them in series.

see, i have two friends with twin turbo mustangs, and they both run a seperate oiling system for their turbos, i.e. each turbo has a pump, small reserve tank, and returns to that tank so they are completely isolated from everything else which i could do it that way, but it'd be a PITA
K.I.S.S. principle works best here.
Run #4 to a T and #3 to each turbo. Mount them high so they can drain back into the pan. No extra pumps to fail, no extra oil supplies to change, faster heat up times and it's very simple to setup.
In keeping with K.I.S.S., your goals are quite achievable with a single turbo. You would cut down on weight and piping complexity over twins though admittedly, you lose some ohhh factor.

The twins i can get 700ish out of without a doubt
also, ws6supercharged, i dont need piping for twins...they bolt straight onto my headers

nice thing about runninga n alt. only setup, is i can use the SSautochrome headers...

I thought the SSautochrome headers would not fit due to our shock towers. Have you test fit these headers? I looked into these as well (I have an alt only setup) and was told they wouldn't fit. Are you going to Mod them?
