Going to lose cats/will it change fuel del. lean?

I have a 96 Z Ati procharger 9lbs. stock heads,58mm throttle body, I have slp headers on it, I want to lose my cats, I know I need simms, I am wondering since the cats are holding me back once I lose them and my cars starts to breath will this make me run LEAN? and throw the whole car off, My car has never been dyno tuned, she runs great know w/ cats but will she run different without?

No. MAF will read how much air the engine needs. Although the MAF may max out and cause the engine to run lean. The cats should have no effect.
