Getting Closer
Getting Closer
We are all but done with the shop car, but it looks like rain wil prevent testing this weekend.
I guess that just gives us more time to prepare for the following weekend.
We had gotten a lot of questions about the plumbing for the intercooler so here are a few pics.

Re: Getting Closer
What's up w/ the shifter in this pic?

What's on the back of it? 28 or 29" meat? I like the wheels too.

Re: Getting Closer
My theory one why people use verts for race cars is that they are full frame cars. even though they dont have the upper support that a hardtop car does, you can put a cage in them, then you have one rigid race car.
Re: Getting Closer
The only reason we used the convertible is because we had it already. It previously had a 422ci.4L60e/12 bolt combo which was a lot of fun, but just wasn't a race car. When we set out to build this car, we wanted to build the baddest LS1 powered vehicle around.
The hood was custom made, it is one of two hoods out there. One is on Ray Sanchez's Super Street car and we have the other.
For comfort and preferrence the shifter is angled towards the driver, and it is also elevated on that custom mount. I'm assuming thats what you were questioning since it isn't in the standard location.

FWIW, my Pro Stick is mounted at an angle too and I absolutely LOVE IT! Some of the locals thought I was nuts until they sit in the car (with the new Kirkey bucket that I got from you guys last week
) and hit the gears. I just did it w/o a center console and fabbed my own mounting pad from .125" steel. You guys gonna hav the topless rocket @ Thunder?

The topless rocket
I like that.
We will most certainly be at Thunder, we are hoping to put her into the 7's at that race. At the very least we plan on winning Outlaw anyway, and that in and of itself should take a mid 8 second pass.
