Fuel Pump Question

Hello, Im looking into having Karl Ellwein buld me a longblock using ai Trick flow heads 215cc plus a custom grind cam. Im going to go with a 58 TB from as&m plus using my p1sc with 10# boost. Im trying to figure out what size injectors to upgrade to, and im also wondering if the stock pump and the booster pump that came with blower will be enough. if not what do you guys suggest

Sorry. No suggestions based on experience. I'm going to be using my stock pump plus the big ol' honking (and loud) NOS inline pump that comes with the NOS 5176 kit. I will be going to the dual in-tank Walbro's (225lph) before I go racing.

well im thinking of going to 60# injectors. The inline pump i have on the car now is rated @ 43gph@70psi. in addition with the stock intank pump. Do you think that is enough to supply my new motor or should i make some changes

In truth, I think the only way we will be 'sure' is to put one of those handheld fuel pressure guages hooked up to the schrader valve, on the windshield and take a full throttle pass to see what we end up with.

I think having one in tank pump with an in line booster fuel pump setup is borderline with that application.

The 60# Mototrons will be a little over the top for you application IMO, as that is what I am running with some duty cycle left in my 383, maxed out D1SC (15#'s of boost). You would probably be okay with some 42# injectors, although somewhere between 60# injectors and 42# injectors would be perfect.

As for the fuel pump, one in tank Walboro, and a booster pump should more than take care of you.

PM'd you for some more info...

Thanks for the Info. I will look into a smaller injector than the 60#s. Im not going to be building anything more than this new setup so i dont need room to grow later. Thanks Again
