i need to know if there is a formula to figure out the rising rate of the fmu that a motor requires.

no its for the six. i havent finished the twins yet. the 6 blew a head gasket so i decided to go all out with it and see what type of boost levels i could run on the stock block and crank. if i blow it up because the block doesnt hold or the crank breaks, then ill get a nice block or one of those g/n race blocks.

Yea...just hope when you snap one or all of those rods they don't fly upwards and take out your hood, intake manifold, cam, rockers, springs, and all that good stuff. Your be looking for a bit more than a block then...

Your gonna be running 20psi daily or is that track boost? That's insane if your doing it daily, have fun paying for fuel every day just to get to work and back...

its going to be 8 psi around town, and around 20 at the track! for the first couple of months i am going to take it easy though, prolly only run 10 max. i want to see what the motor will handle, and there are people that are running 13's on 8psi and a stock motor and fuel pump. i am getting a custom cam and forged pistons, with alot of the other stuff you need to run boost on safely. as far as driveability goes, this is the wifes car, so she wont be on it that much. but if she does get on it too much, then she has to pay for gas. 8psi is fine for the street.
