Flutter

With my 50mm x02 racing bov I have noticed alot of flutter coming from it coming outta the boost. I have tried a few different springs and still no luck. I heard with low boost and a tial(xo2 is a clone) its gonna flutter? I have it mounted close to the tb. How hard is this on the turbo?

Can you adjust the pressure of the spring with the thread rod at the top of the BOV (if it even has one)?

Try turning the the rod the other way (incase its adding to the spring pressure).

How is it hooked up? Some BOV's like the tial only have one port. I have the Godzilla and it has 2 ports, one on each side of the diaphram in the actuator head. I have the bottom (non-spring side) hooked to my intake tubing before the throttle body, and the top (spring side) hooked up to my intake manifold. That way when your getting outta the gas and the intake tubing is pressurized and the manifold is in vacuum it really opens the BOV. My buddy has a Tial, and it works with only 1 port on the top, but it does flutter some.

Have a XO2 BOV installed like discibed above, i did have to cut down the wire to almost halv size to get it to work OK, the spring should just be able to close the valve, boost and vacuum will do the rest.

on 6lbs and letting off do you hear it open at all? My RFL will open under boost above 3lbs, but less than that and you can hear it flutter a little.

I've got 2 25mm ebay bovs and never heard any flutter. Light boost will make a small sound and heavy boost still only give a quick noise. I guess they empty the space pretty quickly.
